Training & Instruction

It cannot be stated enough that not only are horses elite athletes and must be physically cared for as athletes, they are also thinking, feeling, sensitive beings with emotions and concerns all their own. No two horses are just alike, neither physically or mentally. They all require customized care to meet each individual need.

Dressage instruction is also addressed on an individual basis. Each horse and rider pair work towards their own set of personal goals, both short and long term. It must also be stated that dressage is not restricted to a certain body type of rider or breed of horse. The word “dressage” comes from the French word, Dressur which simply means “to train”. Not only does Megan have 10 years of experience training Iberian horses for competitive dressage, she also has just as many years experience working with a variety of breeds. Quarter horses, Paints, Arabians, Morgans, Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Saddlebreds, and Draft crosses are also some of the breeds Megan has worked with throughout the years.

If you have an open mind, strong work ethic, and a willing horse there is no limit what can be achieved with a little bit of time and careful instruction!

Due to personal injuries, Megan Georges is no longer accepting new hores in for dressage training. The new goals for Phoenix Rising Equestrian Center include providing safe gentle training for horses under the age of three. This training includes introductions to clippers, tying, bathing, catching and many other things including trailer loading. There is also available room for rehabilitation of injured or sick horses. Services include hand walking, administering of medication, and any other personel needs your equine may have; such as bandaging and wound care. Dressage lessons and horsemanship lessons are still provided on a limited basis.

Please contact Megan Georges for more information on these services listed above, or if you have any questions.
